Rocky Mountain destination weddings, planned down to the last detail.
Banff, Lake Louise, Canmore, Emerald Lake. Couples come from across Canada and around the globe to marry in the Canadian Rockies — and about 40% of the weddings we plan are destination celebrations. Based in Calgary, we handle the permits, the travel logistics and the design so the mountains are the only thing you have to think about.

Four mountain settings, four very different weddings.
Banff
Fairmont Banff Springs, the Rimrock terrace and Tunnel Mountain lookouts. Grand, walkable and the easiest mountain town for guests arriving from abroad.
Lake Louise
Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise and the lakeshore itself — turquoise water, glacier backdrops, and winter weddings under the stars.
Canmore
Three Sisters views, Silvertip and Stewart Creek. A little more relaxed than Banff, with more room for a private, unhurried weekend.
Emerald Lake & Yoho
Emerald Lake Lodge, red canoes and pine forest. Ideal for micro-weddings of up to 50 guests who want the mountains to themselves.
The work you won't see, and won't have to do.
National park permits
Ceremony site permits inside Banff and Yoho come with rules, deadlines and capacity limits. I file them and track approvals.
Guest travel & stays
Room blocks, shuttle routing between Calgary airport and the mountains, welcome details and a clear weekend itinerary.
Weather contingencies
Every outdoor plan gets a documented indoor version, ready to trigger without a conversation on the day.
Vendor logistics
Mountain vendors, travel time, load-in windows and delivery routes that actually work in a national park.
Multi-day celebrations
Welcome dinners, morning hikes, farewell brunches — the parts guests remember as much as the wedding day.
Planning from anywhere
About 40% of our couples live outside Canada. Video calls, shared timelines and on-site eyes on your behalf.
“I was completely blown away as I saw my vision come to life. Everything from the floral centerpieces, the lighting, the tablescapes, the menus and stationery was perfect. And more importantly, I trusted Cathy and her team and spent my day worry-free and was so happy to be able to just focus on celebrating with my new husband and all our family and friends. I highly recommend Creative Weddings Planning & Design and am so grateful for Cathy and her team.”

Start with your date.
Mountain venues and park ceremony sites book early, and peak summer Saturdays go first. Tell me your date and guest count and I'll tell you what's realistic — including which venues still have space.
