Real Wedding: Hanna and Jamie's Summer Wedding at the Fairmont Banff Springs

A castle in the Rockies, a summer afternoon, and a celebration built entirely around the guest experience.

Hanna and Jamie had travelled to Banff before. The location had special meaning for them. In their own words, it’s where they truly fell in love with one another. When choosing where they wanted to get married, it only made sense for them to return to a place that held such importance to them both – the Fairmont Banff Springs Resort in the Canadian Rocky Mountain town of Banff, Alberta.

They wanted to share this special place with their closest family and friends. The bride and groom were from Boston, meaning that a lot of their guests were from the New England area and travelled to Banff to share in their special day.

For Hanna and Jamie, it was essential to find ways to enhance their guest experience. They wanted to create experiences that were meaningful and resonated with their friends and family, and were symbolic of their love story and relationship history.

“The Fairmont Banff Springs is a very special place to us – it is where we had our first vacation together and where we fell in love. We decided to get married somewhere unique from our Boston, MA home and chose Banff because we wanted our friends and family to fall in love with the town the way we had. Even the threat of rain did not dissuade us from having our ceremony on the Outdoor Terrace. The clouds broke and provided a spectacular glow of the sun on the Chuppah right as we said our vows!
