A Disney Inspired Wedding In The Canadian Rockies At Emerald Lake Lodge

Carissa and Myles got engaged during the pandemic, but decided to wait until 2022 to begin planning their nuptials. Choosing a location in the Canadian Rockies was important to both of them. They wanted to find just the right spot to host an intimate destination wedding celebration for approximately 50 guests. After checking out a variety of venues, they instantly fell in love with the setting at CRMR’s Emerald Lake Lodge.

Over the course of the following year, we worked with the couple to come up with a wedding event that truly represented them. Carissa is an avid Disney lover while Myles lives and breathes Star Wars. The challenge became how to incorporate both of these elements into their event.

Their ceremony was held on a beautiful sunny day at the end of May at The Viewpoint with the lake in the background. The words that were spoken were expertly crafted to tell a tale as old as time, including quotes and metaphors from numerous Disney movies, woven together to tell their personal love story. Afterwards, guests headed over to Cilantro’s On The Lake for and enjoyable reception. Guest tables were named after popular Disney movies with indiviudal centerpieces designed to highlight the movie. Other Disney elements could be found throughout including custom signage and stationery. After a light saber battle, the bride and groom led their guests inside to enjoy an amazing dinner, wonderful toasts and speeches, a photobooth, and dancing. A sparkler exit capped off the evening festivities before guests returned to their individual cabins after an incredible day of celebration!
